LaFayette, GA — The LaFayette Woman’s Club celebrated a year of service and success at its annual Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, May 13, highlighting both individual and club-wide achievements.
The centerpiece of the event was the presentation of the 2025 Club Appreciation Award, a member-voted honor recognizing outstanding dedication and commitment. This year’s recipient, Lecia Eubanks, was praised for her quiet leadership and consistent support of the club’s mission.
“She is steady, wise, and dependable,” said board member and past award recipient Alicia Reagan, who presented the honor. “She rarely seeks the spotlight but is often the reason the rest of the LaFayette Woman’s Club members shine.”
In response to the award, Eubanks shared her gratitude. “What an honor to be recognized by this special group of women,” she said. “Each one inspires me to work harder for this community I’ve been fortunate enough to live in my entire life.”
In addition to the Club Appreciation Award, both the LaFayette Woman’s Club and the LaFayette Juniorette Club were recognized for their outstanding community service efforts at both the state and district levels.
The LaFayette Juniorette Club received the state silver award for Best Overall Excellence in Community Service Projects, along with a $75 grant to support future initiatives. The LaFayette Woman’s Club earned the district silver award for Best Overall Fundraising.
Individual members were also honored for their artistic talents. Marilyn Fulmer and Kaye Thurman took home Member Art awards.
