WALKER COUNTY, Ga. — A motorcyclist was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center following a serious crash on GA 136 early Monday morning, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The crash occurred around 7:01 a.m. near mile marker 7. Troopers say a white Ford F-450 hauling a trailer and a black motorcycle were both traveling westbound when the accident happened.
Investigators report the Ford turned left into a residence as the motorcycle was attempting to pass another vehicle. The rider continued the pass and struck the truck, sliding beneath the vehicle and becoming trapped.
Emergency crews responded quickly, and the rider was flown by Life Force helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment. The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries has not yet been released.
The Georgia State Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
