During this National Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week, we extend our appreciation to all of the Animal Control Officers (ACO). This team works tirelessly, often in challenging and dangerous conditions, to ensure the safety of both people and pets.
ACOs enforce both county ordinances and state laws for animals, reunite lost pets with owners and promote responsible pet ownership. They are educators, mediators, crisis responders, and community connectors.
