Roy Evitte Parrish IV is expected to be appointed mayor of Chickamauga Wednesday night following the removal of former mayor Trey Deck amid sexual misconduct allegations.
The Chickamauga City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. at 1817 Lee Clarkson Road, where Parrish, who currently serves as mayor pro tem, is set to be formally appointed to the position.
Deck resigned Friday, March 20, after the council voted to remove him from office over multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior.
Parrish’s appointment comes as city leaders work to move forward and restore stability following the controversy surrounding the former mayor’s departure.
