Volleyball Seniors Shine in Regular Season Finale
The LaFayette High School volleyball team closed out their regular season in unforgettable fashion last night, moving to an impressive 33-9 record on the year. The Ramblers celebrated their senior class with a dominant performance on their home court, notching two statement wins — including a thrilling victory over #2 ranked Darlington, followed by a solid win against Coahulla Creek.
The team honored six senior athletes who’ve left their mark on the program: Macee, Addy, Mary-Alice, Kaylee, Rambo, and Sadie. The night served as both a celebration and a reminder of the team’s strength heading into postseason play.
Next up: The Ramblers set their sights on the Region Tournament Semifinals, coming up Tuesday. With momentum on their side, they’ll be aiming to add more hardware to an already stellar season.
Cross-Country Teams Make Strides in Dade County
LaFayette’s cross-country teams hit the trail yesterday at Dade County, turning in strong performances across the board.
The boys’ team finished third overall, led by standout runner Cayden Decker, who continues to pace the team week after week. Close behind were teammates Peyton Lands and Braxton Lively, helping the Ramblers secure the podium finish.
On the girls’ side, Addie Hudson led the Lady Ramblers with a top finish, followed by Lilly Owen and Madalyn Davis, who each ran strong races against a competitive field.
Both teams will be back in action on October 21st at Heritage, where they’ll look to continue building toward the postseason.
