Over The week end representatives from the City of LaFayette Electrical Department joined dozens of other electrical crews to honor fallen lineman Eric Weems of Griffin, Georgia. Weems tragically passed away last week while on the job due to an equipment malfunction.
This somber event reminds us of the very real dangers our crews face in service to our community every day, especially during storms and power outages. The City of LaFayette extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of Eric Weems and to the City of Griffin, GA – Government during this difficult time.
