Ridgeland High School has announced the hiring of Shane Cauthorn as the next head football coach for the Panthers.
Cauthorn brings experience from multiple programs across the region. He has previously served as an assistant coach at Dade County, LaFayette, and Gordon Lee. Most recently, Cauthorn spent the past season coaching at Saddle Ridge Middle School.
School officials say Cauthorn’s background at both the high school and middle school levels will help strengthen the program and provide continuity for student-athletes as they transition into high school athletics. Cauthorn will take over the Panthers program ahead of the upcoming football season.
