WALKER COUNTY, GA — The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) announced that maintenance crews will close State Route 193 at SR BUS 1/US 27 for drainage structure repairs, weather permitting, starting Monday, September 15. The project is expected to be completed by Friday, September 19.
During the closure, motorists traveling west on SR BUS 1/US 27 should follow the designated detour: turn right onto West Villanow Street, then left onto South Chattanooga Street to reach SR 193.
