Saturday Advance Voting Underway in Walker County for Special Election
WALKER COUNTY, Ga. — Advance voting continues in Walker County for the Special Election to fill Georgia’s 14th Congressional District seat and the State Senate District 53 race.
The primary early voting site is the Walker County Elections Office, located at 311 South Main Street in LaFayette.
Advance voting runs February 16 through March 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The office is closed on Sundays.
Saturday voting at the Elections Office will be available February 21 and February 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Extended hours will also be offered on March 3, when polls will open at 8 a.m. and remain open until 6 p.m.
Election Day is set for Tuesday, March 10.
The special election will determine who fills the vacant 14th Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives and the District 53 seat in the Georgia State Senate.
Voters are reminded to bring proper identification when casting their ballots.
