An accident involving a Walker County School bus happened this morning off Cook Road in LaFayette. The incident occurred at 7:13am. There were five children injured. All were transported to area hosptials. The childrens condition is unknown at this time. According to Sheriff Steve Wilson the bus left the roadway and struck a tree. According to Walker County Schools the bus was taking children to Naomi Elementary, LaFayette Elementary and LaFayette High School. Another bus was sent to transport the rest of the children to school. Cause of the crash is unknown. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
