Walker County Chairwoman Angie Teems will host a series of town hall meetings this spring, giving residents an opportunity to share concerns and learn more about county operations.
The four community forums are designed to encourage open dialogue between local government and citizens, focusing on issues that impact quality of life across the county.
Each town hall will begin at 6 p.m. and will be held at the following locations:
- May 12 at the County Administration Building in LaFayette
- May 19 at the Rossville Senior Center in Rossville
- June 9 at the Walker County Civic Center in Rock Spring
- June 23 at Lookout Mountain Town Hall
Teems will open each meeting with a brief update on her first 17 months in office before turning the floor over to residents for questions and feedback.
A rotating group of county department heads and officials will also be in attendance to address topics ranging from day-to-day operations to ongoing projects and long-term planning efforts.
