LaFayette, GA — Drivers in LaFayette are advised to prepare for traffic delays this Saturday, May 10, as the City of LaFayette Sewer Department begins a critical infrastructure project on S. Chattanooga Street near Dixie Color.
Crews will begin work at 7:00 a.m., and operations may continue until 5:00 p.m. The project is scheduled to start with a single-lane closure, but officials warn that both lanes may need to be shut down temporarily depending on conditions encountered during the repair.
Detours will be in place if a full road closure becomes necessary. Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and allow extra time for travel.
