Henry’s BBQ in Summerville was destroyed by a fire Tuesday evening, leaving the building and all equipment a total loss. No injuries were reported, according to the restaurant’s owners.
The family that owns the restaurant expressed appreciation for the response from local first responders and confirmed that everyone was safe following the fire.
According to the family, the fire started around 5:20 p.m. in a window unit that served as the dining room’s primary source of heat. By about 6 p.m., the building was fully engulfed in flames.
The owners said the building was old and uninsured, leaving them with significant losses. They are asking the community for prayers and support as they work through the aftermath of the fire and said they are relying on their faith during this difficult time.
