Walker County Chairwoman Angie Teems is inviting residents to take part in a series of town hall meetings this month, aimed at fostering open dialogue and transparency in local government. Themed “Common Sense is Our Common Ground,” the sessions will offer citizens an opportunity to hear directly from county leadership and share their questions, concerns, and ideas.
The town halls will begin at 6 p.m. on the following dates and locations:
July 15 – Rossville Community Center, 301 Williams Street, Rossville
July 22 – Walker County Board of Commissioners Building, 101 S. Duke Street, LaFayette
July 24 – Mt. Pleasant Community Center, 5981 Highway 157, Rising Fawn
July 29 – Center Post Community Center, 8125 Highway 337, LaFayette
Chairwoman Teems will kick off each session with an update on her first six months in office, outlining key accomplishments, current challenges, and future priorities for the county. Following her remarks, the floor will open for public questions and feedback.
Additional county officials will also be on hand to address local planning efforts, infrastructure needs, and other community concerns.
“These conversations are a chance for us to work together with mutual respect and shared purpose,” said Teems in a statement. “Listening to the people we serve is how we build stronger, more responsive government.”
The events are free and open to the public.
