WALKER COUNTY, Ga. — The Walker County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Lacey Smith will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer effective October 6, 2025.
Smith is no stranger to the Chamber, having previously served as its President for seven years. She returns to the position with a renewed vision and commitment to strengthening the local business community.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lacey back to the Chamber,” said Ashley Mew, Chairman of the Board. “Her leadership, knowledge of Walker County, and proven record of success will be invaluable as we continue to grow and support our members.”
In reflecting on her return, Smith shared her enthusiasm for the opportunity to serve again. “Walker County has always held a special place in my heart, and I am honored to once again serve this community,” she said. “I look forward to working with our business leaders and community partners to build on the momentum already in place and to continue the growth and progress that makes Walker County such a remarkable place to live and work.”
The Chamber invites the community to join in welcoming Smith as she begins her leadership on October 6.
