Walker County Government Building Closed After Pipe Burst
ROCK SPRING, GA — The Walker County Local Government Services building in Rock Spring is closed to the public today, April 17, after a pipe burst overnight caused significant flooding.
The building, located at 122 Highway 95, houses several key county offices, including the tag and tax office, assessors office, planning and zoning, and codes enforcement.
County officials say the burst pipe flooded multiple offices and public areas inside the facility. Crews are currently working to assess the damage and begin cleanup efforts.
It is not yet clear when the building will reopen.
Residents needing services are encouraged to visit the Tax Commissioner’s office in Rossville, which remains open.
