Walker County Health Inspections: Local Establishments Score High Marks

The most recent round of health inspections conducted by local officials brought a wave of positive results for food establishments and recreational facilities across the county, with several locations earning perfect scores.

Among the highlights, the City of LaFayette stood out with its public amenities—the city pool, fountain, and splash pad located at 638 S Main Street—all receiving flawless scores of 100. These high marks reflect a strong commitment to cleanliness, maintenance, and public safety at the city’s popular summer spots.

Restaurants and cafes also fared well. In Chickamauga, The Grind Coffee Shop on Crittenden Avenue and The Cottage on Longhollow Road both earned perfect 100s, as did the Huddle House on Bushrod Johnson Avenue, which scored a commendable 92. Meanwhile, Taco Bell at 6 W Crest Road in Rossville joined the 100-club, maintaining strict food safety standards.

The Chanticleer Inn Bed & Breakfast Pool, nestled on Lookout Mountain at 1300 Mockingbird Lane, also received a 100, assuring guests that its recreational facilities meet the highest sanitary standards.

Toki Lafayette Inc, located on the square in downtown LaFayette, received a solid score of 96, while Residences at Pin Oak in Rock Spring rounded out the list with a 100, confirming a safe and well-maintained environment for its residents.

Walker County’s recent inspection results showcase a widespread dedication to health and safety standards, both in the culinary and recreational sectors. Residents and visitors alike can take confidence in the care local establishments put into maintaining clean and welcoming environments.
