Members of the Walker County Historic Preservation Commission recently met with Wildlife Resources Division – Georgia DNR Supervisor Josh Aldridge and Georgia State Archaeologist Rachel Black and Aimee Bouzgard. The groups discussed efforts to preserve the Oak Hill School/Coulter Academy, which dates back to around 1840. The school is located in historic McLemore Cove.
