Walker County Historic Preservation Commission to Hold Public Work Session on June 7

LaFayette, GA — The Walker County Historic Preservation Commission will hold a public work session on Saturday, June 7, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The session will take place at the LaFayette-Walker County Public Library, located at 305 South Duke Street in LaFayette.

The primary focus of the session is to complete the Certified Local Government (CLG) Survey, a requirement set by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. The survey plays a key role in identifying and documenting historic properties throughout Walker County, contributing to ongoing preservation efforts.

Commission members will work collaboratively during the session to ensure the survey is finalized in accordance with state guidelines. Members of the public are invited to attend and observe the process.
