Digital Connectivity
The purpose of Walker County’s Connectivity Plan is to identify and address the gaps locally in what it means to be digitally connected as well as the barriers to being digitally connected. Being connected “online” impacts an individual’s opportunities for participating in the workforce (searching for and applying for jobs online as well as the technical digital skills needed to perform a job), continuing in education, and accessing healthcare (such as using telehealth). To build a plan that meets the state’s vision for the residents and communities of Georgia, we need feedback and input on what our community needs and values and the barriers our community is facing in being digitally connected.
Walker County is working on becoming a Broadband Ready Community and need your input. Please click the link and answer a few short questions about barriers you face to using the internet.
