LaFayette, GA (July 2, 2025) — Walker County Government is inviting residents to have a stronger voice in local decision-making through a new partnership with FlashVote, a scientific public research firm specializing in community engagement.
The initiative aims to create a panel of residents who will provide quick feedback on county services, programs, and priorities through short, periodic surveys. Officials say the goal is to increase participation in the public input process while making it fast, easy, and convenient for citizens.
“We’re very excited to start using the data collected in these surveys to make better informed decisions to serve our residents,” said Walker County Chairwoman/CEO Angie Teem. “With nearly 70,000 residents, there’s a large percentage of the population we never hear from. This gives us a tool to change that.”
Residents can join the community survey panel by visiting flashvote.com/walkercountyga, calling 775-235-2240, or signing up in person at the county administration building at 101 S Duke Street in LaFayette.
Participants choose how they want to receive surveys—via email, text, or phone call—and will be notified when a new survey is available. Each survey takes about a minute to complete and remains open for 48 hours. Once the survey closes, participants receive a summary of the results and can compare their answers to others in the community.
Sign-up takes less than a minute, and all responses are anonymous. FlashVote does not share personal or demographic data with the county or third parties.
County leaders hope to assemble the first panel by the end of July and plan to roll out the first survey by September.
