Walker County Observes 238th Anniversary of U.S. Constitution

WALKER COUNTY, GA — September 17, 2025, marks the 238th anniversary of the framing of the Constitution of the United States, a foundational moment in the nation’s history. On this day in 1787, the Constitutional Convention completed the document that continues to serve as the guardian of American liberties.

Earlier this month, Walker County Chairwoman Teems issued a proclamation officially declaring Constitution Week in the county. She encouraged all residents to recognize the importance of the Constitution and to remain vigilant in protecting the freedoms it guarantees.

Residents are encouraged to take time this week to learn more about the Constitution, engage in civic activities, and appreciate the freedoms afforded by the nation’s founding document.
