Walker County residents will have the opportunity this spring to get their pets vaccinated against rabies during the 2026 Walker County Rabies Clinics.
The clinics will take place over two Saturdays in April and May, with vaccinations available for $15 per animal. Officials note that payment will be accepted in cash only.
The first round of clinics is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, with stops at Gilbert Elementary School from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Naomi Elementary School from 3 to 4 p.m., and Rock Spring Elementary School from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Additional clinics will be held Saturday, May 9, at Gordon Lee High School from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Chattanooga Valley Elementary School from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and Rossville Elementary School from 5 to 6 p.m.
The rabies clinics are sponsored by Walker County Extension/4-H in partnership with Cornerstone Veterinary Services. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the low-cost clinics to ensure their dogs and cats are protected against rabies.
