Walker County Schools will operate on an adjusted schedule Friday, December 19, with all students being released early ahead of the upcoming holiday break.
According to the district, dismissal times will vary by grade level to ensure a smooth and safe transition home. Elementary students will be dismissed first at 11:30 a.m., followed by student drivers at 12:00 p.m. Middle and high school students will conclude the staggered release schedule with dismissal at 12:30 p.m.
The district encourages families to plan accordingly and wishes all students and staff a safe and enjoyable start to the holiday season.
