Walker County Schools is reporting another increase in its graduation rate, with the district continuing to outperform the statewide average, according to newly released data from the Georgia Department of Education.
The 2026 Four-Year Cohort Graduation Rates show Walker County Schools with a graduation rate of 93.2%, compared with Georgia’s statewide rate of 88.5%.
Both of the district’s traditional high schools also posted graduation rates above 93%. LaFayette High School recorded a graduation rate of 93.2%, while Ridgeland High School posted a rate of 93.1%.
According to information released by Walker County Schools, the district’s four-year graduation rate was 92.93%, while its five-year rate stood at 93.64%.
LaFayette High School reported a four-year rate of 92.93% and a five-year rate of 93.79%. Ridgeland High School reported a four-year rate of 92.93% and a five-year rate of 93.51%.
School officials credited employees across the district for helping continue the upward trend.
“The innovative efforts and tireless dedication of every employee have created the momentum driving this positive trend as we work toward achieving a 100% Graduation Rate for every student placed in our care,” the school system said.
The latest figures put Walker County Schools 4.7 percentage points above Georgia’s 2026 statewide graduation rate.
