Walker County Schools Operating on 2-Hour Delay Monday, December 15
WALKER COUNTY, Ga. — Based on the forecast of single-digit temperatures on the mountain and extremely harsh wind chills in the valley, Walker County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, December 15.
District officials made the decision out of caution for student and staff safety during early-morning travel, particularly in areas affected by freezing temperatures and dangerous wind chill conditions.
All school start times, bus routes, and morning programs will begin two hours later than usual.
