Graduation rates across Walker County high schools continued their upward trend this year, with the district once again outperforming the state average, according to new data released Monday by the Georgia Department of Education.
The 2025 four-year cohort graduation rate for Walker County Schools reached 93.0%, well above the statewide average of 87.2%. Both LaFayette and Ridgeland High Schools posted strong results, with LaFayette recording a 93.13% graduation rate and Ridgeland close behind at 92.90%.
Superintendent officials attributed the continued progress to the sustained efforts of educators and staff throughout the district.
“These results reflect the innovative efforts and unwavering commitment of every employee in our school system,” a district spokesperson said. “We are building momentum as we work toward our goal of a 100% graduation rate for all students.”
District leaders also emphasized that growth has been consistent across all demographic groups, underscoring what they describe as systemic and equitable progress.
The graduation rate is considered a key national indicator of school performance and student success.
