Walker County Schools to Discuss Professional Learning Contract, Facilities and Finances at Planning Session
The Walker County Board of Education is set to discuss a professional learning contract, district facilities, finances and several academic updates during an upcoming planning session.
The meeting will begin with the call to order, invocation and pledges to the flags before board members move into individual action items.
One action item on the agenda involves Terry Haney, a math consultant, and an SRK8 Professional Learning Contract. Board members are expected to consider the item during the session.
Several district updates are also scheduled under items of information. The board is expected to receive a facilities update and financial review, along with reports covering curriculum and Career, Technical and Agricultural Education, or CTAE, and LAUNCH.
The agenda also includes reports from the assistant superintendent and superintendent.
Board members will review the tentative agenda for an upcoming meeting before moving into any new business.
An executive session and personnel recommendations are also listed on the agenda before adjournment.
The meeting is set for October 6th, 2026 at 6PM in the Advancing Education Center at 925 Osburn Rd, Chickamauga, GA 30707.
