Walker County Seeking Public Input for Comprehensive Plan
Residents in Walker County and several local cities are being asked to help shape the future of their communities.
Walker County, along with the cities of Rossville, Chickamauga, LaFayette, and Lookout Mountain, is currently updating its Joint Comprehensive Plan, which is reviewed and updated every five years.
The plan uses community input to guide decisions on issues such as economic development, housing, transportation, recreation, community facilities, and the management of natural and historic resources.
Officials say feedback from residents has helped move forward projects in recent years, including park improvements, new housing developments, expanded internet access, and other community upgrades.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the survey and share their ideas for the future of Walker County.
