The Governing Authority of Walker County will present its proposed fiscal year 2026 budget at a special called meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Walker County Courthouse Annex I, located at 101 S Duke Street in LaFayette.
Following the presentation, the proposed budget will be made available for public review at the county administration building and online at walkercountyga.gov under the Government section.
To gather public input, Walker County will hold two public hearings on the proposed budget. The hearings are set for:
Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
Both hearings will take place at Walker County Courthouse Annex IV, located at 201 S Duke Street in LaFayette.
Residents are encouraged to attend the hearings to learn more about the county’s financial plans and to provide feedback.
