City of LaFayette offices will be closed Thursday in observance of New Year’s Day.
City officials are reminding residents that trash collection schedules will be adjusted this week. Customers whose regular pickup day is Wednesday or Thursday are asked to have their trash out this morning.
Sanitation crews will be running double routes, and collections may occur earlier in the day than usual. All trash scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday will be collected today.
Residents are encouraged to place their garbage at the curb as soon as possible to ensure pickup.
