Aileen Massey Brown, age 93 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She was born to the late Earl Massey and Annie Clemmons Massey in Chickamauga, was a lifelong resident of the Chickamauga Area and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chickamauga, since the 1950s. Aileen retired from Wal-Mart in Fort Oglethorpe after more than 11 years and was a graduate of Godon Lee Memorial High School.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester Arthur Brown; son, Albert Brown; sisters, Kathleen Ward, Edna Buck, and Anna Earl McCoy; and brother, Billy Massey. Aileen is survived by her loving daughters, Joyce Gray and Sylvia (Wesley) Morgan; sons, Arthur (Lynn) Brown and William (Kathy) Brown; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Chickamauga. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens. The family will receive from 11:00 am until the service time on Saturday at the church. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J. Avery Bryan Chapel.
