Aileen Tucker
May 30, 1921 - May 1, 2025

Aileen Tucker, age 103, resident of Ringgold, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Mrs. Tucker, daughter of the late Rufus Doyle Hill and Beatrix Osborne Hill, was born May 30, 1921 in Dalton, Georgia. She was a homemaker and member of Ringgold United Methodist Church for over 40 years. Mrs. Tucker was also a member of the Red Hat Society of Ringgold. She enjoyed traveling with her family, gardening, and building house projects. While at home, she looked forward to cooking for her family (particularly desserts) and was famous for her “kick-a-poo joy juice.” She was known by many to have excellent skill at sewing, crocheting, and quilting. Mrs. Tucker would listen to gospel music and watch classic movies (her favorite being “It’s a Wonderful Life”). Most of all, she wanted quality time with her family, including playing board games such as Yahtzee, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and playing “Cootie” with the grandkids. The family remembers her as a lady that enjoyed life; always smiling; and loved everyone.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Buford A. Tucker; son, Rodney Tucker; sisters, Rebecca Roberson and Jean Eaves; brothers, Ralph Hill and Rufus D. Hill, Jr.; and son-in-law, Billy R. Johnson.
Mrs. Tucker is survived by one daughter, Lita Johnson of Ringgold, Georgia; one son, Greg (Shirley) Tucker also of Ringgold, Georgia; one brother, Conroy G. Hill of East Brainerd, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Anthony Johnson, Michael Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Aimee Johnson, John (Cassie) Tucker, and Karen (Josh) King; great-grandchildren, Colby, Grace, Ashley, Jennifer, Heather, Curtis, Tristin, Wyatt, and Kelsey; numerous great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled at Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 2 p.m. with Gary Knowles officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 5-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Ringgold United Methodist Church, 7484 Nashville Street, Ringgold, Georgia 30736.
A special thank you to the staff at NHC, Fort Oglethorpe and Caris Healthcare for giving her last years and days of life such great care.
