Annaceil Hooper, ,age 88, resident of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Hooper, daughter of the late James Elroy Motley and Amanda Elizabeth Smith Motley, was born November 26, 1936 in Tunnel Hill. She was a lifetime member of Pine Hill Baptist Church where she was their pianist. Mrs. Hooper worked at Edgewood Chenille for over 25 years, and then worked for Shaw Industries, faithfully working over 15 years until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and playing the piano. While at home, she enjoyed listening to Blue Grass Gospel music. Most of all, she looked forward to cooking for the family and spending quality time with her kids and grandkids.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hooper and two brothers, Robert Motley and Terry Motley.
Mrs. Hooper is survived by four daughters, Vickie (Pap) Goins, Jeanne (Ronnie) Wright, Duanah Eaves, and Trena (Ray) Jones; one son, Duane (Louise Womac) Hooper; four sisters, Loretta Stinnett, Donna Kenemer, Janie Davenport, and Deana Weaver; three brothers, Carlos Motley, Elroy (Juanita) Motley, and Larry (Sherry) Motley; 13 grandchildren, Chad Stephens, Justin Stephens, Jason Stephens, Lorrie Hooper, Jamie Hooper, Crystal Hester, Eric Landen, Matthew Landen, Levi Eaves, Katie Eaves, Austin Jones, Taylor Jones, and Tessa Jones; 26 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Pine Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, 1 p.m. with Reverend Carlos Motley officiating. Interment will follow at Gordy Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 5-8 and also prior to the service on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Pine Hill Baptist Church.
