Anthony Justin Owens age 34, of Chickamauga, Georgia beloved father, son, and brother passed away at his home on November 10, 2025. Justin was born in Fort Oglethorpe, GA and had resided most of his life in the Chickamauga area. Justin graduated from Gordon Lee High School – Class of 2009. He was an outstanding athlete, playing football, baseball and basketball. He coached Little League baseball in Chickamauga, Boynton and Ringgold. He loved coaching his sons and the other kids as well. He was a mentor to younger children. Justin had a heart of gold. He never met a stranger and always had a smile from ear to ear. He would and did help anyone in need. Justin was a born again Christian and was saved when he was 12. He was a member of South Rossville Baptist Church and also attended Fairview Baptist Church. Justin was a master of all traits, he really could fix anything. Justin had worked in the family business with his father – Owens Construction Company. He was the previous owner and operator of Owens Excavation. He also was a former employee of Catoosa County Utilities, City of Fort Oglethorpe Utilities, and finally got his dream job in May of this year as a supervisor for JBrennon Construction Company out of Dalton, Georgia. He loved his job of building things and fixing things. Justin was preceded in death by his grandmother: Linda Pearson and grandfather: Don Owens. He is survived by his sons: Brody Owens and Levi Owens, mother: Tammie L. Sturdivant (Steve) Powell of Rossville, GA, father: Donnie Ray (Regina) Owens of Chickamauga, GA, brothers: Donald R. Owens, Dalton (Tricia) Owens, sister: Toni Grace, grandparents: Tony and Elizabeth Sturdivant, stepsister: Lacy (Koty) Vann, stepbrothers: Logan (Kaylan) Hill, Logan Powell, aunt: Darla (Jack) Abernathy, uncles: Tyler (Mandy) Sturdivant, Todd (Emily) Sturdivant, several cousins, nieces, and nephews that he loved and supported. God called Justin home early, and for the ones that knew him, they will always smile when they hear his name. Thank you God for putting him in our lives if only for a little while. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Tuesday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm – Tuesday – November 18, 2025 in the chapel with Pastor Jim Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Chickamauga City. Arrangements by W.L.
