Arthur Harold Hendrixson, 93, of Rossville passed away at home surrounded by his family Monday, September 4, 2023. Harold was born February 2, 1930 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Arthur Elmer and Frances Mae Churchill Hendrixson. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient. After his military service he worked and retired as Warehouse Manager at Roper after 25 years of service. Harold was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and served his church family for many years. He was very involved with the Helping Hands and volunteering at the TN Aquarium for 25 years. He was a past member of the Brainerd Optimist Club and past president. Harold was a Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He loved traveling with his wife to Europe, China, Hawaii and other places in the United States. More than anything Harold loved spending time with his family.
Harold is preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Ann Gamble; sisters, Lois Newkirk and Ellen Davidson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Helen Hendrixson of Rossville; children, Lawrence (Lora) Harold Hendrixson of Orlando, FL, Peggy (John) Diane Denham of Ooltewah and Barbara Lynn McNabb of Green Cove Springs, FL; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Chattanooga, The Wounded Warrior Project or the Gary Sinise Foundation.
