August 19, 1965 - July 24, 2025
Born in West Virginia, Arwanna attended Lee University and later made Rossville her home. She had a deep love for cooking and caring for others, dedicating herself as a caregiver to her family. She especially loved her dogs—Bear, Boomer, and Daisy. Arwanna also enjoyed collecting and displaying teapots.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Slayton.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 25 years, Tim Atkins; children, Erin (Ryan) Millican and T.J. Atkins; and sisters, Nancy Emeline and Loretta Copeland. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 31, 2025, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home, with Josiah Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
