Barbara Derryberry GravittLookout Mountain

Barbara Derryberry Gravitt, 90, of Lookout Mountain, GA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 8, 2026. She was known for her larger than life personality, humor, and spirit. Those who knew and loved her will feel her absence profoundly. She was a lifetime member of New Lookout Baptist Church. Working career included The RC Bottling company, Rock City, and co-owner of Derryberry’s Country Store; but her favorite job by far was homemaker. She had a fondness for cooking, shopping, and spending time with friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ferris Derryberry, Gladys “Dykes” Derryberry; siblings Bernice Derryberry Price, Ernest (Junior) Derryberry, Betty Derryberry Hodnett, Patricia Derryberry Mitchell; nephew Harold Price; and her loving husband of 70 years Charles Gravitt.

She is survived by her children Charles Edward Gravitt, Vickie Lynn Gravitt and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Tapestry Hospice and Anna Brooks.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday with Pastor Cecil Gravitt officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10, 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
