Barry Lamar FranklinChickamauga

Barry Lamar Franklin, age 59, of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, to the late Charles “Bud” Franklin and Mary Paradise Franklin, was a lifelong resident of the Chickamauga area, and was of the Baptist faith.
Barry worked for many years in the construction business with David Carlock and was known for his strong work ethic and friendly spirit. He never met a stranger and was always ready with a smile or a good laugh. Barry loved spending time with his family and friends and was known throughout the community for his kind heart and joyful personality.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Bud” and Mary Paradise Franklin, and his brothers, David Franklin and Tim Franklin.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tiffany Wooden; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Heather Franklin, Crystal Franklin, Tim Franklin, and Shelby Franklin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Kevin Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service time on Tuesday.
