Betty Ann Chamlee, age 76, of LaFayette, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024.
Betty had a passion for helping others and was a caregiver for many years. She worked for Dr. Mark Heinsohn as a medical assistant and later worked as a retail associate for Walmart until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.W. and Cora Lee Greene Williamson; sisters, Margaret Lathem, Mary Rice, Shirley Harrison (James), Ruth Bennet, and Ruby Middleton; brothers, Leon (Joan), Billy Ray, Troy (Marion), Bobby, Curtis, Ludy, Luther, Tommy, and Marcus Williamson, and Charlie Hensley.
Betty is survived by her husband, Willy Chamlee; daughter, Kim (Steven) Woodard; son, Will (Ginny) Chamlee; grandchildren, Corey and Drew Asher, Luke, Claire, Savanna, Olivia, and Ella Chamlee, Kirsten Gustowski, and Heaven Forney; great grandchildren, Easton and Talyn Asher; sisters, Frances Hardy, Brenda (Wayne) Brown, and Linda (Richard) Russell; brothers, H.W. (Michelle), Robert, Roy, and Jimmy (Delinda) Williamson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 3, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Marlon Williamson officiating.
The Interment will be held at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are Drew Asher, Jakub Gustowski, Michael Daley, Brandon Sorrell, Richie Russell, and Adam Ledford.
Honorary pallbearers are Savanna, Claire, Olivia, Ella, and Luke Chamlee, Corey, Easton, and Talyn Asher, Heaven Forney, and Kirsten Gustowski.
A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 2, at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
