Betty J. Steedley Breneman, 75, of Charlotte, NC passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at a local health care facility in Chattanooga. Betty was a native of East Ridge, had lived most of her life in Charlotte, and the past nine months in Chattanooga. Betty worked in the health care industry for many years as a CNA/Caregiver for Visiting Angels and for Adult Care and Share. During her years in Charlotte, Betty was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and she attended East Ridge Church of the Nazarene during her time in Chattanooga. Betty loved her family dearly. She had a heart of gold and always put others before herself. She loved taking care of others, young and old, and she became the mother to several children throughout the years opening her heart and home to them. Betty was a hard worker and was a provider to her family. She loved the Lord and listening to music, especially Casting Crowns. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Mildred Steedley; sister, Kay Hogan; two brothers, Allen and David Steedley; and great grandson, Aiden Pressley.
Survivors include her three sons, Jerry Albert Breneman, Scott Evan Breneman, and Eric Ryan (Victoria) Breneman; seven sisters, Pauline Spain, Ann Calhoun, Wanda (Clyde) Cox, Patsy (Larry) Henry, Phyllis Ables, Carol Smith, and Mary Smith; five grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Breneman, Blake Evan Breneman, Trent James Breneman, Camden Blake Anderson, and Eric Zachary Breneman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
