Betty Jean Hall Shrum, age 79, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Ringgold, Betty was known for her love of sewing and crocheting. She found joy in reading and took special pride in her flower gardening—carefully placing each bloom around her home with intention and care. More than anything, Betty cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose presence brought her the greatest happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Hall and Margie Bryant Hall; and her brothers, Melvin Hall and Albert Hall; granddaughter, Alivia Lake.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Tammy DeLarosa and Kimberly Lynn Shrum; her beloved grandchildren, Johnathan (Ashley), Vivian (Jonah), Vincent, Susanna (Pauli), Elizabeth, Bubba, Isabella, and Charlie; several great-grandchildren; cousin, Bernice Payne; and dear friends, Sandra and Charles Miles.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Catoosa Memorial Gardens.
