Betty Louise McDaniel DobbsChickamauga

Betty Louise McDaniel Dobbs age 90, of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. She was born in Rossville, Georgia on April 26, 1934, to the late Eugene Vandever McDaniel and Edith Rhodes McDaniel. Betty was a member of Graysville United Methodist Church, in which, she raised her children. During her career, Betty worked with Brock Candy Company for many years before she began working at Hutcheson Medical Center. She would later retire from Hutcheson Medical Center in 1992. For the last twenty-five years, Betty lived in her “Little bit of Heaven”, Chickamauga, Georgia, where she loved being outside on her zero-turn mower. The family would like to thank Tapestry Hospice, especially Danielle for their caring service. Also, Parkside Rehab, especially Modesta, for their attentive and experienced care.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Diane Brown Wilson; grandchild, Amy Brown Dockery; great grandchild, Miles E. Berube; sister, Imogene McDaniel Watson and brother, Charles Herbert McDaniel.
She is survived by her children, Judy (Gary) Petty, Ricky Brown; grandchildren, Ryan Berube, Justin Berube, Wesley Brown; great grandchildren, Logan Wheland, Maxwell Berube, Kate Berube, Kody Dockery, Pyper Dockery, Zoey Brown, Taygen Brown; siblings, Johnny A. McDaniel, James E. McDaniel, Linda McDaniel Tapley,

The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Homes Wallis ~ Stewart Chapel with Pastor Doug Plumlee officiating.
