Charles Edward “Eddie” Ritchie, age 86, of LaFayette passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
He was a member of Lake Howard Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, William Henegar and Lucille Pruitt Henegar; sisters, Barbara Ritchie and Ann Reily; and a brother, Mickey Ritchie.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan Whiteside Ritchie; daughters, Angie Ritchie (Merv) McDonald of Chickamauga, Alisa Kellett of Montana, and Amy Bryant of Panama City, Florida; son, Robert Kellett of Rock Spring; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Benny Roberts officiating.
A private interment will take place at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brad McDonald, Josh McDonald, Merv McDonald, Michael Pledger, Joe Allen, and Hal Roberts.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, February 24, at the funeral home.
