Charles Lelan Hughes, age 74, of LaFayette passed away Friday, August 11, 2023.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Lelan and Mary Hughes; and his step-daughter, Rachel Bradley Bolton.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Tucker Hughes; step-son, Joshua (Julie) Bradley; sisters, Shelia (Terry) Thompson, and Deborah Hughes; children by love, Ted and Melody Bowers; grandchildren, Daelyn (Jane Poling) Bolton, Sadie Bradley, Caleb Bradley, Eli Bowers, and Damon Bowers; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, August 17, at 7 p.m. in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim Powell officiating.
A gathering for family and friends will take place on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the hour of service.
