Charlotte Ann Knight Ward
August 27, 1943 - June 19, 2024

Charlotte Ann (Knight) Ward, of Tunnel Hill, GA, left this earth and gained her Heavenly wings on June 19, 2024. She was born on August 27, 1943. She and dad, Ronald E. Ward, were married for 60 years. Just as he was by her side for those 60 years, he was by her side when she took her last breath. Charlotte was born in Ringgold, GA to the late David Decatur "Cate" Knight and Gustava "Gus" Ross. Mom loved visiting with family friends and taking trips to Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Kohl's. She enjoyed her drives "around the block" with Dad, watching game shows, court shows, and definitely her Atlanta Braves. She loved soaking up the sunshine on the patio with her 3 cats. They sure will miss her.

When we were growing up, she spent most of her evenings and weekends at twirl days, softball games, and basketball games. She has 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She would tell you that she loves them and is so very proud of them. She may, or may not have said, "having grandchildren is better than having your own kids!"

Preceding her in death are her parents, her brothers David L. "Sonny" Knight, Charles Ellis (Vera) Knight, and her sisters, Laura Beth Knight and Lynda Faye (Charles) Chambers.

Charlotte and Ronald have two daughters, Rhonda (David) Robinson and Shana (Steven) Roberts; she will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Erica Lewis, Kristin Roberts, Nathan (Kathryn) Robinson, Logan Cobb, Caleb Cobb, Ryan Roberts, Emily Robinson, Blake Robinson; great-grandchildren, Brian McCary and Molly Roberts; brothers and sisters that will greatly miss her are, Christine (Billy) House, Kathy (Royal) Larison, Connie (Ernie) Wilson, Maurice (Ann) Knight, Denise (Jesse) Stewart, and Scott (Marla) Knight; she has many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mom, we love you and we will miss you every day. We promise, we will not get into trouble now that you are gone (we know you probably rolled your eyes and do not believe us). The family wishes to thank the staff, nurses, and doctors at Regency Park in Dalton for their wonderful care, attention, love, and respect they showed mom (and us) during her brief stay.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 3:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Varnell Cemetery with Mr. Marc Shipley officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers
