Charlotte Hughes, age 73, resident of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Hughes, daughter of the late Roy Cloud and Delora Casey Cloud, was born August 7, 1952 in Trenton, Georgia. She was Baptist by faith and a lady that enjoyed being at home and spending quality time with her family. Mrs. Hughes worked at Hutchinson Home Health for over 14 years and then began a career with Walmart until she retired. While at home, she enjoyed cooking for family and friends; listening to classic oldies; and watching Hallmark movies. The family remembers her as a lady who thrived on being a Mom-one who loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids immensely.
Mrs. Hughes is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Simpson and Deborah Farr; one sister, Jackie Sue (Marcus) Tishaw; two brothers, Joel Casey and Wesley Casey; five grandchildren, Brandin, Brandii, Adain (Mallory), Issac, and Nicole; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Raelynn, and Harper; many other relatives and friends; and her dogs, Bubba and Sissy.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Tapestry Hospice and the staff at Parkridge East ICU for their loving compassion and care.
Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Sunday, November 2, 2025, 4 p.m. with Chaplain Neal Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.
Flowers are accepted or contributions can be made to Catoosa County Animal Shelter, 101 Allmond Lane, Ringgold, Georgia.
