Chester Clifford Browning, 97, of Chickamauga, passed away Wednesday April 26, 2023. Chester was born May 21, 1925 to the late Clifford and Angeline Browning in Chickamauga, GA. Mr. Browning was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II in Normandy and central Europe. He was a member of Cross Connection Assembly of God Church and retired from Ernest Holmes wrecker manufacturer.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dracena Browning, son David Browning, and brother Earnest Browning.

Survivors are his grandchildren Greg (Christy) Browning, Amanda (Andy) Leffler, great-grandchildren, Emery and Ethan Leffler, brother Roy Browning, and daughter-in-law Lynne Browning.

Funeral services honoring the life of Chester will be 10 AM Saturday, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Joey Kelly officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends 9-10 AM, Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
