Christopher Michael Johnson

Christopher Michael Johnson, age 52 of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2025. He was born in Augsburg, Germany to James Earl Johnson Jr. and Mildred Lossing. Chris was a member of The Crossing Church, in Chattanooga and had been a resident of Chattanooga and the North Georgia area for the past 37 years. He served his country in the U.S.M.C., was employed at the city of Chattanooga and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Sportster 883. Chris was a loving husband, father, grandfather, “Nugget”, son, and friend who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, James Earl Johnson Jr. and his loving nephew, Christopher Lewis. Chris is survived by his loving wife, Stacey Lewis Johnson; mothers, Sally (Mike) Dick; Mildred Lossing, children, Michael Tyler (Tia) Johnson, Brian Edward (Lacey) Johnson, and Alyssa Leeann Prather; siblings, Jaime Johnson, Angela Hayes (Lossing) and Tiffany Losing; grandchildren, Delta “Nugget”, Holden “Turbo”, and Mia “Doodle Bug”; father-in-law, Michael (Debbie) Lewis; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm on Monday and 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Tuesday. Condolences may be left at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
