Clifford Lee Burger, age 89 of East Ridge, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023. He was born in Chattanooga and was a former member of Liberty Baptist Church, Chickamauga. He retired from Satdard Coosa Thatcher after more than 20 years of employment and was a loving husband, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed. Clifford was preceded in death by his daughter, Leona Bowman; sons, Clifford Walley Burger and Tommy Burger; and granddaughter, Jody Bowers. He is survived by his loving wife, of 69 years, JoAnn Duncan Burger; grandchildren, Shawnna Skiles, Freddy Bowman, and John Bowman; great grandchildren, Justin Young, Ryan Young and Leman Bowers; and several neices and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in the funeral home parlor. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
